Over the past week, a number of our coaches have given up their time to help clean up the gym in preparation for classes resuming on the 28th of January. This year the gym was particularly dirty due to the extensive amount of dust and ash in the air over the summer holidays, blown into the gym through ageing plastic windows and faulty doors. We are currently in contact with the council and hope to have the windows and doors repaired by March to better protect our equipment from the elements.
The entire gym was covered in a thin layer of dust and ash.
Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping all done.

That’s a wrap on Display Day 2019!
Display Day is Miranda RSL Youth Club’s annual athlete showcase and presentation day featuring performances and demonstrations by a number of our recreational and competitive athletes as well as the presentation of our perpetual trophies.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support our athletes! We are especially grateful for the work of our incredible volunteers who helped to set up and pack down the gym, run the raffle and marshal the athletes. We could not run this event without you! For a glimpse into what it takes to set up the gym for an event like Display Day, check out the set up time-lapse below!
If you would like access to the photos from Display Day 2019, please send us a message and we will provide you with the link as soon as possible.
