Classes
Trampoline or Trampoline Gymnastics is a sport that combines the athleticism of acrobatics with the fun of bouncing on a backyard trampoline. At Miranda RSL Youth Club, we teach the four main disciplines of competitive trampoline; Individual Trampoline, Single Mini, Double Mini and Tumbling. We use the Gymnastics Australia Levels program to help our athletes progress from learning basic jumps, to mastering more advanced skills such as forward and backward somersaults.
Trampoline improves your strength, flexibility and confidence, and is a great way to have fun and improve your overall fitness.
Trampoline lessons are great for children of all ages. At Miranda RSL Youth Club, you can learn trampoline skills in a safe and friendly environment under the guidance of experienced coaches. All coaches at Miranda RSL Youth Club are accredited with Gymnastics NSW and attend compulsory updating courses throughout the year.
All new members are entitled to attend a free initial assessment. You can even bring a friend along, just make sure you wear comfortable clothes and bring a pair of socks!
If you wish to continue training beyond your initial session, you must complete a Youth Club Registration Form and pay an Annual Registration Fee and Term Fee. A pro-rata Term Fee will be levied if you are joining part-way through Term.

KINDERGYM CLASSES:
These classes are tailored for children aged 3 – 5 years old and their families and give children the opportunity to develop their physical literacy in a fun and safe environment. Under the supervision of our highly qualified coaches, these classes provide an environment for children to develop physical and cognitive skills in a fun and playful way.
GENERAL ABILITY CLASSES:
These classes cater for a variety of ages and abilities. Athletes work at their own pace under qualified coaches with the use of a personalised Levels folder to track their progress through the Australian Levels Program.
ADVANCED CLASS:
This class is tailored for athletes who are keen to further develop their trampolining skills in preparation for competitions run by Gymnastics NSW or the NSW Combined High Schools Championships. All athletes who attend this class follow a specialized strength and conditioning program designed to prepare them for learning and performing more advanced skills.

REBOUND THERAPY AND INCLUSION PROGRAMS:
Miranda RSL Youth Club is a Rebound Therapy Centre of Excellence and offers inclusive programs for athletes with a disability. Our Rebound Therapy program is tailored to meet the needs of each individual and designed to help improve the fitness, co-ordination, communication and social skills of each participant.
HIGH SCHOOL SPORT:
Miranda RSL Youth Club works with local high schools to deliver tailored programs for small and large school groups. Classes are held at the Youth Club during school hours under the guidance of highly qualified coaches and cater to a wide range of ability levels.
In the School Sport program, students are introduced to basic Trampoline and Tumbling skills and use our specialised equipment to learn skills in a safe manner. Each school program is based on the Gymnastics Australia Levels Program and assists in the development of co-ordination, spatial awareness and self confidence.
PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORT:
Miranda RSL Youth Club also runs the Gymnastics Australia Launchpad program at local primary schools. This program is delivered at the school under the guidance of highly qualified coaches and teaches fundamental movement skills whilst fostering self confidence and healthy habits.
COMBINED HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The Combined High School Championships is an annual event for public high school students, held at the end of the Term 3 each year. Students compete on behalf of their school and region against other students of the same age from across NSW.
Each year, the Youth Club hosts the Sydney East Region Trampoline Trials at the beginning of Term 3. This is the only qualifying event for athletes in the Sydney East region wishing to attend the Championships. All secondary students attending a public school in the Sydney East Region are eligible to attend the trial and seek selection onto the team.

Competitions are a great opportunity for athletes to challenge themselves, make new friends and have lots of fun. We encourage everyone who is interested in competing to have a go!
Trampoline competitions are split into two categories:
Levels Competitions – At these competitions, children compete against other athletes with the same level of ability. There are ten levels in competitive trampolining, each with a different set of routines or skills that the child must demonstrate during competition. Levels competitions are ideal for children of all ages and abilities.
Age Competitions – Age competitions are split into age groups with set level requirements. These competitions are for athletes who are highly motivated to succeed in the sport. Athletes wishing to secure a place on the NSW State Team and compete at the National Championships must participate in these competitions and meet additional qualification requirements.
For further information about competitions, please speak to our Chief Instructor Louise at the Youth Club.
